Questions For A New Boss To Ask

We talked in the last post about keeping a diary in order to keep your track record of success. But say you have done a great job of that. You have worked hard and have been very successful, you have kept track of your success, and you received the promotion you have crazed. It can be overwhelming when you think about all the things you have to do. I, in the past have begun with meeting with the sale team individually. I like to see where they are in their career and where they see themselves in a few years.

At the first meeting I always want to get two questions answered

1. What are you looking for in your career?

2. How can I help you get where you need to go?

I find that these get me off on good footing, I really do want to help them get there. My question for you out there…Am i missing the boat?

What else should I be asking?

I await your responses….
