Jackie practiced what he preached!
There are plenty of people who live life in a way where they watch from the stands while other people live life. Thanks for the post.

Great quote! More people need to take action, not sit on the sidelines.

Leadership is a Choice
The Jackie Robinson quote made me think of this quote:
“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” Ferris Bueller
Here is to enoying and living life more.
Yours In Health!

Taking action is actually a willingness to be radiculed. It is much easier to watch than to play. But the spectator misses the experiences. He borrows the experiences of others. What do you think movies or football games are about?
How To Eliminate Daily Stress
Good quote to remind ourselves to ask the question…do we want to be watchers or doers?
Great! Food for thought….sometimes I get the feeling that a lot of people wake up one day, look in the mirror, suddenly realize that YEARS have rolled on by and are forced to ask: “What have I done? It’s passed and I missed it!!”
Thanks for the heads up.
Terriffic quote … taking action is the key to living as opposed to existing.
So true. Get in the game and participate.
Great quote and a perfect way to start the week!

Terrific quote from an incredible man.

Are You Ready to Care for the Caregiver?
seems that 90% of society is in pure spectator mode… from radio to TV to movies and sports…. I learn to not pay too much attention to the naysayers out there…
because they aren’t DOERS just like to stand back and judge. LOL
Musician Profit Systems
the question is if we are going to be a performer or a spectator. The first is a creator the second is a judge. The judge borrows the life of the creator and tries to make it better without living it (because it is not his life anyway).
Procrastination In Action Dissected
Play hard and have fun … the alternative is loss of life (literally and figuratively)
wouldnt the world be a better place if more of us took action instead of sitting on the sidelines complaining.
One of the saddest stories I ever read was a fellow, an executive who retired a few years ago. Evidently, he had planned for his retirement to the point of sacrificing EVERYTHING else. He did this for years.
He passed away the day he was to retire.
No guarantees for tomorrow, my friend.
Love the quote from Jackie Robinson. Although, it isStanley Cup season, so we get a little slack for jumping up and down and frothing over at the mouth for our team from the bleachers.

I like the quotes you choose. Thanks.
The Art Of Being A Good Parent
I have been reflecting on your Quote. Due to my sales bias in all facets of life, I feel that staying in the Grandstand could provide benefits IF you had over-priced peanuts and hot dogs to sell to the “spectators”. Then your “playing capital” would be enhanced.
We should all read that at the start of every day. Imagine how much more we would accomplish as a whole if eveyone took an active role in life.
Strong truthful statement.
Agree … and agree with Jennifer. If we all participated in life, there would not be enough time for petty annoyances, disputes.
The value of the philosophy behind the quote remains.
I think the saddest thing would be to look back on your life…….and realize that you didn’t use your power.
This reminds me of the classic line in the film, “The Shawshank Redemption” – “Get Busy Living Or Get Busy Dying”.
