Tax Returns Part 2

I was thinking about my last post on the way to work this morning, and one point I believe I missed was an important one. You see I had to stop by the post office and drop off a few letters. To my surprise the post office was jammed. Jammed with people mailing their tax returns, paying the IRS whats owed, or more correctly, what the government decided to take from us.. ..

In looking at the post office parking lot in the morning I began to think how many people are late or wait to the last minute to file their tax returns. Now don’t get me wrong,  I don’t like the government having my money either, but the thought that had crossed my mind was how many of us wait…

to file our tax returns…

to call back the customer ….

to put together the presentations…

to call a friend we haven’t spoken to in a long time..

Procrastination was the point I missed in the last post, I suffer from it, as I believe we all do to some extent. How much more productive and successful would we be if we did what needed to be done, when it need to be done? Even if we didn’t feel like doing it?

My guess is that we all would add a lot to our business and our lives if we didn’t put off what needed to be done. The main question is why do we do it?

Kevin Hogan has a great program, Lifestorms, that can help many people overcome the self sabotaging behaviors we all suffer from occasionally. I know that being able to make myself do what needs to be done has led me to a small measure of success in my business and I’m sure it can help you be more successful as well.

Finally, if you took action when you needed to, as opposed to only when you are forced to, what would that add to your life, your relationship or your bank account…

My guess is that we would all be happier and more successful…
